Jon & Ben with The SmokerSome of the UK's finest BBQ experts descend upon Walthamstow with the London edition of Grillstock!

What.../  The King of the Grill competition is at the heart of Grillstock, a BBQ and music festival introducing the concept of competition BBQ to the UK, thousands of miles from its US southern home. Grillstock will now bring the meat, music and mayhem to the capital with a BBQ competition that has been officially accredited by the Kansas City Barbeque Society. Following sell-out events in Bristol and Manchester, Grillstock London will be the biggest yet with 40,000 festival goers expected over the weekend and 40 teams competing in the official BBQ competition. Why.../ In previous years, crowds have been entertained by mariachi music playing taco hats, whole spatch-cocked lamb, whole chickens riding edible bicycles, pork pie wedding cakes, lobster tails and barbequed scotch eggs in the Chefs Choice round, with 1.5 tonnes of meat cooked during the competition. The music line-up, over several stages will see headliners Fun Lovin Criminals and Razorlight joined by the Latino vibes of the Cuban Bros, Grandmaster Flash, Hayseed Dixie and DJ Yoda. And another thing.../

Watch out for the unforgettable Sailor Jerry airstream and BBQ, which will be at Grillstock with chef Danny Cheetham from London's Psychic Burger and Dalston's White Rabbit. Danny has crafted a menu inspired by the original flash artwork of Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins, and will be servings up Burnt Ends Bap, Rib ‘O' Beef and Chicken Tikka.

Grillstock coincides with the end of Sailor Jerry - The Ride - with bikers arriving in style and celebrating the end of a long journey around the UK on Sunday 6th September.
