Since bursting onto the London food scene four years ago, Scotsman Andy Waugh and his tartan army have won ‘Street Food of the Year' at The Young British Foodies Awards, Best Signature Burger at the National Burger Awards 2015 and were named by The Evening Standard as one of the top five places to eat game in London. 

The Menu.../

All of Mac & Wild's meat is sourced and butchered by Andy's family game-butchering business, which has been around for over 30 years.

The concise seasonal menu is a joy to behold, with a small selection of beef, venison, veg and seafood dishes.  Not to be missed are the insanely moreish haggis pops, featuring rich morsels of haggis in a crispy breadcrumb coating; their renowned Venimoo (voted london's best burger 2015) featuring a beef patty, venison patty, béarnaise cheese, caramelised onions in brioche; and perhaps one of London's best value plates of food, the stunning Venison steak-frites including the finest chips in town for a faintly ludicrous £11.

As you'd expect, the venue houses an impressive whisky selection, as well as some clever Scotch based cocktails. The Vibe.../ The intimate venue has the feel of being in a rural retreat, complete with a life-sized dear proudly outside the restaurant! Come inside and you'll be met with stag heads mounted on the walls, a felled tree from Andy's family estate that provides the wood for the bar and tables and butchers hooks and a ‘wall of meat' where a variety of meats cure and hang. We went and here's why you should go.../ There's a lot to be said for Scottish hospitality and the Mac & Wild do their country folk proud.  There's an intoxicating buzz about the place that makes it ideal for a meal before a big night out, whilst the food is not only absolutely delicious but also outstanding value.
