Verden Hackney

Ex-Scott's duo Ed Wyand (former Head Maitre d') and Chef Tom Fraser have partnered with former PR Guru Tom Bell to launch Verden in Hackney.

The extensive selection of wines, cheeses and charcuteries (many of which are made on the premises) are available to take-away as well, offering customers the best in artisan produce. Customers are invited to make their selection from the impressive cold-room vaults in the basement that doubles-up as a striking display for diners. Head Chef Tom Fraser's menu is available from brunch through till dinner, with dishes including Pulled pork bun, harissa mayo and fried pickles, served alongside ‘Breakfast wines' for brunch; to home-made bar snacks such as Duck rillettes and mains such as Red mullet, saffron potatoes and mussels. The unique design and bespoke interiors of the restaurant are inspired by Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetic principles. From the turned wooden light fittings to the hand-made crockery (made by Billy Lloyd) this converted East London pub space set over two floors is transformed into two stunning contemporary rooms.
