While we're still a bit gutted about the closure of House of Wolf in Islington, we can't think of a more fitting new occupant for this cool building than The Dolls House.

The original Dead Dolls Club (set up by Adam Townder and Katy Gray Rosewarne) was only ever intended to be a short lived pop up in Hoxton, but 18 months later it's so popular that they're now opening a new venue - The Dolls House Islington. Located in a Victorian townhouse on Upper Street which until recently was the home of House of Wolf, the new Dolls House is far bigger than the original pop-up with three floors of decadent rooms including a ground floor Parlour, first floor Drawing room, second floor Ballroom, Library and a dedicated Espresso Martini Bar. Inkeeping with the original, the decor is opulent, luxurious and just a little bit creepy, with tromple l'oeil wallpaper and ornate furniture. While the venue is open to the public, it's also possible to become a member by applying online and bringing a gift of posh booze (from an approved gift list) once you've been accepted. You'll get to enjoy the bottle yourself, as well as never paying entry fee, being able to bring up to four guests, and having access to the members' lounge until 4am. Both food and drink will be served throughout the Dolls House, with a new menu from Daryl Wilson (previously of The Salt House and Ampersand) featuring classic dishes of sirloin steaks with duck fat chips and a Sunday Roast with all the trimmings. Classic cocktails such as Whisky Sours, Negronis and Old Fashioneds are on the drinks list, perfect for accompanying the live jazz music. The Dolls House Islington opens on Friday, 20th February 2015.
