Sagardi, Shoreditch

What.../ Sagardi has opened their first UK restaurant in Shoreditch, adding to their already impressive locations from Barcelona to Buenos Aires. The Sagardi group specialise in traditional Basque country food and drink, initially found on farms and in taverns all over the region. The London restaurant is divided into two spaces: the Pintxos bar served with Basque cider, regional beers and wines; and the grill restaurant, home to an impressive central charcoal grill. Kiln, Soho

What.../ Founder of Smoking Goat, Ben Chapman, has opened his new restaurant Kiln in Soho. Inspired by rural Asian simplicity Kiln combines elements of Thai, Burmese and Yunanese flavours with dishes cooked over an open fire. Butifarra, Soho

What.../ London's growing Peruvian restaurant scene welcomes Butifarra, a venue inspired by a popular Peruvian street snack made of bread with slow-cooked meat and salsa. Jikoni, Marylebone

What.../ Ravinder Bhogal has launched her debut restaurant on Marylebone's Blandford Street. Jikoni, meaning ‘kitchen' in Swahili, draws on Ravinder's mixed heritage and travels, with flavours and culinary traditions from Britain, East Africa, the Middle East and Asia. What.../ Chick n' Sours has opened its second restaurant, this time in the heart of the city Seven Dials. Expect a short, punchy, fried chicken menu of free-range herb-fed fried chicken, sour cocktails, local beers & cracking soft-serve ice-cream creations.
