London's biggest hangover, aka London Cocktail Week 2014, returns and this time they are promising the biggest sore head ever!

Here's our run-down of the best events in town: ‘The Spice Is Right' Cocktail Masterclass with Pink Pigeon and World of Zing Wednesday 8 October, 6-7pm (Trade Sessions on 8 October & 9 October from 1-3pm) Barrio Centrale, 6 Poland St, Soho, W1 Mauritian Vanilla Spiced Rum, The Pink Pigeon is swooping into Barrio Central for a fun and fascinating masterclass on using spices in cocktails.   The session will explore the facets of this devilishly tasty spirit with Rum Expert Peter Holland from www.thefloatingrumshack.com and World of Zing's own Spice Guru Pritesh Mody, so make sure your taste buds are ready for what's in store!  Completing the evening will be an array of cocktails and delectable treats from Cocktail Confectioners, Smith & Sinclair. RSVP by emailing glyn@barriobars.com Angostura Butterfly House Thursday 9th – Sunday 12th October 31 New Inn Yard, Shoreditch, London, EC2A 3EY When the butterflies dance, the sugar cane is ready for harvesting and the Butterfly House will bring this experience to Londoners during Cocktail Week.  Be embraced by friendly butterflies in the ethically created Butterfly House, press your own sugar cane juice and have it transformed into one of the delicious butterfly-inspired Angostura rum cocktails on offer, sure to send you fluttering into the night. A series of masterclasses and other events led by Angostura's Master Distiller, John Georges and Global Ambassador, Mike Tomasic will also take place within this this tropical paradise in the heart of Shoreditch at 31 New Inn Yard, including: 1950s American Diner with Bulleit Bourbon Monday 6 October London Cocktail Club, Shaftesbury Avenue, WC2 Bulleit Bourbon and London Cocktail Club will bring a slice of the Midwest to the West End with an authentic 1950's pop-up American Diner.  The transformed bar will feature a traditional Bulleit juke box playing 50's sing along classics, roller- skating waitresses and a Bulleit cocktail menu to accompany classic diner dishes. Bulleit Hard Shakes and cocktails will be served alongside American favourites such as corn dogs, deep fried pickles in Bulleit Rye batter and fries with Cajan salt dusting. Don Julio Mexican Street Festival 6-12 October Translate Bar, 12-14 Kingsland Road, Shoreditch Don Julio comes to Translate Bar, transforming the venue into a lively Mexican street scene adorned with artworks influenced by Don Julio's rich heritage. Visitors can enjoy an eclectic list of Tequila cocktails whilst tucking into Mexican street food and getting into a Mexican party atmosphere. From 5pm daily, the first 50 customers to buy a Don Julio cocktail will have the opportunity to make their own bespoke Mexican inspired T‐Shirts. Ain't No Foolin' With The Lagavulin Tasting Sessions 6 October Worship St Whistling Shop, Shoreditch Whisky enthusiasts can join Colin Dunn and his band The Lagavulins at Worship St Whistling Shop for a musical tasting of Lagavulin 12, 16, and Distillers Edition. Guests can expect a whisky‐filled evening tasting six of Islay's finest drams accompanied with a soundtrack of live rhythm & blues. Tickets £35. Distillery Pop Up Table @ The Jones Family Project with Langley's Gin 6 October – mid-November The Jones Family Project, a unique and multi-faceted independent restaurant and bar in Shoreditch, has teamed up with Langley's No. 8 to create a 1920s “Gin Distillery Room” pop up.  Recently launched and open for bookings for two months, the pop-up table will celebrate one of the most glamorous periods of gin history with hessian bags of botanicals, a miniature copper still and a multi-course gin pairing menu (priced at £35pp). Drambuie Presents The Punch Parlour 9th October The Edition Hotel, London Punch, derived from Sanskrit, meaning five, this extraordinary drink traditionally comprises of five ingredients - join Drambuie in their Punch Parlour for an incredibly surreal punch making session lead by their Brand Ambassador Herman Van Broekhuizen.
