the candlemakerThe Candlemaker on Battersea High Street is more than just a locals pub, it's a community. It's a place to sit, kick back, and relax. Drink some beers, take in the Summer sunshine and eat some glorious food, made with love. Who…/ The Full English Kitchen's Michelle Cremosa introduces a retro food menu of good hearty, comfort food. Menu…/ Based on her love of greasy spoon cafes and her Italian and Indian heritage, Michelle's passion for quality food is portrayed in her popup menu, of which she only uses British sourced ingredients to make delightful dishes such as Shepherds pie made from a six hour slow roasted shredded lamb shoulder or Wiltshire cure ham and eggs with a potato cake. The garden, which has ‘outdoor rooms' is perfect for Indian Summer nights and Autumnal evenings. the candlemaker We visited and here's why you should go…/ It's not just old favourites with a twist on offer at this cute little pop up, the pub is also hosting an East End fish stand on Friday evenings, although it wasn't on when we popped by (extreme sad face at missing out on oysters!) During the summer months, this quaint little pub will also host BBQs alongside weekly market stalls and you can also feel charitable whilst tucking in to breakfast, as 25p from every full English breakfast goes to a gardening charity called Thrive.
