Artesian Bar wins World's Best Bar 2014

You probably assumed so already, but now it's official - London is home to the Worlds Best Bar...again!

Hundreds of drinks industry professionals (also known as 'functioning alcoholics) from all corners of the globe gathered at Christ Church Spitalfields last Thursday evening for Drinks International Magazine's annual bar awards ceremony, The World's 50 Best Bar Awards. With 27 cities across 14 countries included in the final 50 competition was fierce, but Artesian Bar at The Langham London won for the 3rd year running,  followed by Dead Rabbit Grocery and Grog in New York in second place and London's Nightjar in third. [caption id="attachment_4372" align="aligncenter" width="600"] London's finest bartenders from the World's 50 Best Bars 2014[/caption] This international industry survey also found London to have more brilliant bars than anywhere else, with a staggering 8 bars out of 50 based in our fair city, and 3 in the top ten (Artesian, Nightjar and American Bar at The Savoy). Artesian recently launched an innovative new menu for 2014, the 'Unfolding and Exploring' menu, which includes tongue-twisting creations such as the 'Vodkatini Waiting to Become a Manhattan', featuring Ketel One Vodka energised by gemstones using Supersonic technology. We have no idea what that means either, but it sounds pretty award-winning to us.
