The awesome Disappearing Dining Club heads south for its latest opening with the launch of a new bar and private dining room inside LASSCO Ropewalk, the renowned architectural salvage warehouse in Bermondsey.
Tell me more…/
Disappearing Dining Club has been hosting dinners in private and unusual places since 2010 before opening their first permanent restaurant, Back in 5 Minutes, on Brick Lane in June 2012. The LASSCO building certainly meets the brief, with some incredible salvaged furniture and reclaimed décor setting the tone.
On the menu…/
Open Thursday to Sunday evenings, Ropewalk is the perfect destination cocktail bar for those after a somewhere moody and cool in South London. The drinks are innovative and utterly delicious, including: The Serpentine with Cognac, Szechuan pepper, sugar, bitters, sparkling wine, grapefruit twist; and The Carpenters Cup with Jensen's Old Tom Gin, Punt e Mes, birch extract, tonic, cucumber, mint.
The dining experience is just as exciting and delicious, although needs to be booked ahead as it's private dining only. Dining menus change with the season and are exactly what you'd expect from DDC; simple, elegant and full of flavour.
